SOLD 1890s wax wedding store display, bridal display, mannequin display, wedding tiara, antique, photographers prop, decor,
This beautiful display dome represents wedding memories from the 1890s. The wax flower wedding head dress, shoes and glove date to the end of the 1890s. The bell jar is more recent.
The headdress is a lovely cream with yellow high lights. It had been stored carefully, away from dust which ensures that it displays beautifully and is still wearable today. The frame is covered with silver metallic thread. It is in good strong condition and is currently fastened at the back but does undo.
The satin wedding slippers are in lovely condition. The name of the bride and date of the wedding was found written on a slip of paper inside one shoe. They measure 10 1/4" long and 2 1/4" wide. There is also a single crochet glove. What happened to the other? Did the bride not wear them or lose one? If only these objects could talk.
This little group, frozen in time since the 1890s would make a fabulous display item in a bridal store, at a wedding as a romantic boudoir display, or could be used as a prop for wedding photography. Whatever its use, you can guarantee that this antique decorative piece will be a talking point and will not be ignored.
The bell jar is extremely heavy and so takes the weight of the package into the 5kg shipping bracket. If you would like to purchase the grouping without the bell jar, which could perhaps be purchased in your own location, please contact me.
