SOLD Choice of two Edwardian cotton lace Blouses now £50.00 each
This listing shows two Edwardian blouses, both now just £50.00 each.
This antique waist length blouse was made with such attention to detail and care! It is constructed from filet lace insertion and cotton batiste. The bodice is pin tucked to create the popular silhouette of La Belle Époque and the sleeves are close fitting.
Size (measurements taken with the garment laying flat)
Waist 24 1/2”
There is a small rust stain on the hem of the blouse and a couple of small breaks in the lace which could easily be repaired. The underarms have been very neatly repaired at some time long ago.
This pretty, antique Edwardian blouse is made in the popular silhouette of this period from embroidered cream cotton lace, with Valenciennes insertion and trim.
The neckline is square and the sleeves long and close fitting.
The blouse fastens down the back with poppers or press studs.
This beautiful blouse is in good, strong and wearable condition. The only imperfections I can see is a small area of discolouration on the insertion lace to the right of the neckline at the front. This may be removed by an oxy soak. In addition, there are a few tiny breaks in the lace. One is near the front waistband. Please use the zoom to take a close look at the photos.
