This pale rose pink cotton sateen corset is ideal as mannequin display or as a collectors piece. It fits romantic boudoir décor ideals and would look even prettier on a cream Edwardian mannequin.
It dates to the 1910s and has the typical positioning of the stocking suspenders and wider skirt bottom of the 1912-1916 period. The top is trimmed with fine machine made lace in cream. It probably had a silk ribbon between the folds of the lace layers and a bow at the front, which has since perished. The front has a petticoat hanging clip in tarnished silver coloured metal.
The stays are metal. They can be seen on the inside at the base of some of the channels.
Hips 42 1/2"
This item is well worn as can be seen in the photographs. It has been cleaned but there are numerous small rust and storage marks. I do not recommend that it is bought to wear.
