1930s bias cut gold lace dress
This gown is a confection of bias cut lace which give a wonderful body conscious drape to this form fitting dress. It is very feminine and would best suit someone with a small bust as there are no darts. The fabric has an all over design, very of its time. It fastens with snaps down one side.
The bodice is close fitting and the skirt has a full and gathered overskirt panel to add movement.
There are several old repairs to the lace and also some areas where there are small breaks in the lace. The cape collar, which has a few flaws in one are, is removable. The dress is a little fragile around the neckline and around the seams at the hips.
My description makes this dress sound far worse than it is but I would hate you to be disappointed. The photographs speak for themselves. Any wearer is guaranteed to feel and look like a real lady!
